State-of-the-Art   X-Ray Equipment Installed!

Since 1980 the Alcester Medical Center and the Elk Point Community Health Clinic, have been operating the original x-ray equipment.  This equipment provided many years of good service for the sites, but as with most things, ran its course.

Early this spring, both clinics underwent renovations to accommodate new, state-of-the-art, digital x-ray equipment. This equipment opens new doors to the capabilities of both sites, allowing for more advanced images to be taken.

In addition to the advanced imaging capabilities this equipment provides in-house, an orthopedic surgeon is now coming to the Community Health Clinic and is utilizing the equipment for specialized images. In the past, the patients would have been referred to a different office to have these x-rays taken.

Union County Health foundation was awarded Recovery Act grant funding to purchase and install this new radiology equipment.

We are excited to have been able to bring our x-ray suites into the 21^st Century, as well as being able to provide you, our patients, with higher quality, medical care.
