image013.pngNoreen E. O’Shea, D.O.

Dr. O’Shea was born and raised in a small town in northern Illinois, population between 1800-3000 during my school years.  She attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and Des Moines University-College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery where she earned her D.O. degree and completed a Family Medicine Residency at Creighton University/St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She worked for four years at a clinic and hospital in Eastern Kentucky to fulfill her National Health Service Corps obligation. Her family then moved to her husband’s home town in upstate New York for three years, with an eye towards moving back to the Midwest eventually.  They returned to Sioux City in 1994, when a position in the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital became available and her husband, Dr. Tom Benzoni, was hired.  She continues a part-time family practice by doing locum tenens around the area and joined the Union County Health Foundation in a permanent position in May 2000.  She works at both the Alcester and Elk Point clinics and enjoys her home in the northwest portion of Sioux City with her husband and four children where they have ten acres of land and various animals.
