Dr. Gregory Joseph McCarthy, DPM

Dr. McCarthy was born in Sioux City, Iowa where also received a Bachelors of Science in Biology at Briar Cliff College in 1989, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Outstanding Senior Alumni Award.  He continued on to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa and became a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine as a Graduate with Distinction (Valedictorian) in 1993.  Dr. McCarthy then went on to complete his Podiatric Surgical Residency (PSR-24) at the College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery / Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa in 1995.

 

Since graduating, Dr. McCarthy has been a Partner at the Foot & Ankle Associates of Siouxland, P.L.C., in Sioux City, Iowa and an Associate with E.N. Wiltgen, P.C. in Sioux City, Iowa.  He continues to work as a Staff Podiatrist at the Winnebago Indian Hospital in Winnebago Nebraska as he runs his own office at Siouxland Podiatry Associates, P.C. in Sioux City, Iowa.

 

Dr. McCarthy is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and holds many Honors and Awards including:  Who’s Who Among College and University Students, the Earl G. Kaplan Surgical Award, the UOMHS-CPMS Basic Science Award and the Williams and Wilkins Anatomy Award.

 

During his years practicing podiatry, Dr. McCarthy has also co-authored a few publications:

 

            Johnson RE, Veale JR, McCarthy GJ:  A Comparative Study of Ankle Support Devices.

Dr. McCarthy also belongs to numerous Professional Societies:  American Podiatric Medical Association, Iowa Podiatric Medical Association, Board Member-Iowa Posiatric Medical Society, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons-Fellow, American Diabetes Association, Peer Review Committee-Iowa Board of Podiatry Examiners, Alumni Council-Des Moines University-Osteopathic Medical Center and the Alumni Board-Briar Cliff University.

 

Dr. McCarthy is married, has three children and enjoys numerous sports, travel and movies, and is currently seeing patients at the Elk Point Community Health Clinic and the Alcester Medical Center.  Please call the respective clinic to make your appointment!

Fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon.  Dr. Ferrari obtained his MD thru the University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada and continued on to the University of Sashatchewan, Saskatoon Canada where he completed his Family Medicine residency and became Board Certified with Canadian College Family Physicians.

 

He then went on to the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada and completed his Orthopedic surgery residency and became Board Certified with the Fellow Royal College Surgeons Canada.

 

Dr. Ferrari has also completed Fellowships in Upper extremity reconstruction and Orthopedic sports medicine, arthroscopy thru Pan Am Clinic, University of Manitoba and TRIA Orthopedic Center, Bloomington, MN respectively.

 

Dr. Ferrari has been a volunteer physician, performed immunology research, practiced in family medicine, emergency medicine, sports medicine, primary care and as an orthopedic surgeon.

Ms. Rhonda Lammers, CSW-PIP, QMHP

Ms. Lammers was born and raised in Crofton, Nebraska.  She attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she was a regent scholar.  She also attended Wayne State College and Mount Marty College. She obtained her Masters in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

 

Ms. Lammers was employed by the South Dakota Division of Mental Health as a program specialist.  She also served as the supervisor of Child Protection Services for the South Dakota Department of Social Services in Yankton.

 

In 2001, Ms. Lammers became a Children’s Services Clinician with Lewis and Clark Behavioral Health Services, Inc.  During her tenure, she served as the Intensive Children’s therapist working with the intensive probation program of the First Judicial Circuit of SD.  She also conducts mental health evaluations for the State of South Dakota as part of her duties as an expert witness during commitment hearings at the SD Human Services Center.

 

Ms. Lammers is presently a therapist with the adult clinical program at Lewis and Clark Behavioral Health Services in Yankton, SD.
